Here are a few OKR and KPI tips:
1. Both OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are necessary to lead your organization.
2. OKRs BUILD CAPABILITIES within your organization.
3. KPIs MEASURE where you are, want to be, and will evolve your understanding to WIN THE MARKET.
4. KPIs (numbers/metrics) may reside in your Objectives and Key Results, however this should NOT replace having a Peak KPI Dashboard.
5. Objectives should be 'WHAT' you want to accomplish.
6. Key Results should define 'HOW' you will accomplish the Objective.
7. If all your Key Results are defining metrics (KPIs) you are missing the most important element of the Key Results 'the work you need to do.'
8. Great Key Results should follow the SMART Goal methodology - Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.
9. Build a cadence to review both OKRs and KPIs in you Weekly Camp Meeting.
10. Use the cadence of annual and quarterly planning to define and cast both OKRs and KPIs.
