Collective Genius (www.collective-genius.com) is currently looking to connect a Java Architect with a leader in the online education space. In this role you would be leading software architecture efforts, researching new technologies, developing best practices and mentoring a Java team.
This is a regular full-time employee or contract to hire position with competitive compensation / benefits located in the Twin Cities.
Performance Objectives:
- Lead the design, architecture, and high level development of new and existing websites
- Communicate with business partners to understand and manage requirements across the business and development groups
- Represent the Java development team on the Enterprise Architecture Committee
- Provide oversight and guidance to other development partners internally and externally
- Hands-on senior level development work
High priority Skills & Talents
- 5+ years of successful software architecture experience
- Expert level Java software development experience
- Large scale website experience
- Excellent communication ability across multiple audiences, including business, technology, and executive levels (written and verbal)
- Able to maintain a focus on detail while guiding the big picture
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, and JBoss
